The Health1 Cancer Institute
Cancer care works best when the whole pathway sits in one place — diagnosis, systemic therapy, surgery and radiotherapy, with one team keeping track of the plan. That is what the Health1 Cancer Institute at Shilaj is being built to do, and it is the reason we are adding radiation oncology on site rather than referring it out permanently.
We are deliberately not advertising radiotherapy as live before it is. If your treatment needs radiation now, our oncology team will plan it with a partner centre and stay involved in your care rather than hand you over and lose the thread.

What your first appointment looks like
Bring your biopsy or histopathology report, recent imaging (CT, MRI or PET-CT) with films or a disc, blood reports, a list of your current medicines, and your insurance or PMJAY card. If a diagnosis has already been made elsewhere, bring that paperwork too — it saves repeating tests.
The first consultation is mostly about establishing exactly what you have and how far it has spread. Where staging is incomplete, we will order what is missing before proposing a plan. You should leave knowing the diagnosis, the proposed approach, and roughly what it will involve in time and cost.
Cost, insurance and PMJAY
Health1 accepts PMJAY, CGHS, ECHS and all major insurers and TPAs for cashless treatment. Cancer costs vary widely with the type, stage and regimen, so we will not quote a figure on a web page — ask our billing desk for a written estimate once a plan is agreed, and check your specific scheme covers that regimen before starting.

Is cancer treatment covered under PMJAY at Health1?
Health1 accepts PMJAY along with CGHS, ECHS and all major insurers and TPAs for cashless treatment. Coverage for a specific regimen depends on your scheme and package, so confirm with our insurance desk before starting treatment.
Can I get a second opinion on a cancer diagnosis?
Yes. For a new cancer diagnosis or a proposed surgery, you can request a second opinion from a senior Health1 specialist before committing to a treatment plan. Bring your biopsy report, imaging and any prior prescriptions.
